Snowdonia National Park

I’ve just got back from a 1-2-1 session with another pro photographer in North Wales.
Last year, back in September I went up to Snowdonia for a few days and spent some time with Peter Jepson of Minnfford Photography, who took me around to some of the sights of Snowdonia. Amongst those sights we took in the the Dinorwic Quarry and the Anglesey Barracks. Amazing places.
One of my images of the Dinorwic Quarry has just been accepted into the Clay Cross National Exhibition.

I enjoyed those few days so much I decided to go back. So I arranged another day out with Peter and Minnfford Photography and he took me to a couple of different places this time.
We started early to get some good light and went up to Llyn Idwal. Even if you’re not into photography, I would highly recommend it as a place to go for a walk. It is amazing.
We were lucky with the light and got some amazing images. This is one of my favourites, and is available as a limited edition print through my store.

After a brief lunch stop we then went on to another place within the park, which is a secret place, unknown to many and so the protect that secrecy I won’t mention the name here.
The light had changed dramatically by the afternoon and we no longer had the special light you can see in the image above, but we were still able to get some slightly different shots. Again, this is one of my favourites from that part of the day.

More images from the day will be added to this site and the store in the coming weeks, but if you want to see more, head on over to the Steve McCarthy Photography Facebook page.
Let me know which ones are your favourites, and if you would like any added to the store.
One last thing to say.. If you are ever in that area and want a guide to help you take some amazing images, look up Peter Jepson at Minnfford Photography. He is a really nice guy, he knows his stuff when it comes to photography, and he has some really interesting stories to tell. (just ask him about Michael Schumacher).. :-)
