Four Days to Go… 🌟
In just four days, The Light Between Us will finally be out in the world. I’ve said those words out loud a few times now and they still don’t quite feel real.
This story started as a tiny “what if” that wouldn’t leave me alone. What if you got a second chance at the one that got away? What if time didn’t quite play by the rules? What if the moments you thought you’d lost forever were still out there, waiting for you to be brave enough to find them?
From that little spark came late nights, early mornings, far too much coffee, and pages covered in scribbles, crossings-out and “FIX THIS LATER” notes. There were days when the words poured out and days when every sentence felt like pulling teeth. But at the heart of it all were these characters who refused to let go.
Over the past months I’ve:
Fallen in love with them
Got annoyed with them
Laughed with them
And occasionally wanted to shake them
…which, to be honest, is exactly how real relationships feel too.
What The Light Between Us means to me
This book is about love, yes—but not just the hearts-and-flowers version. It’s about:
The choices we don’t make, and how they echo through our lives
Second chances (and what they really cost)
Friendship, music, nostalgia, and those tiny, ordinary moments that end up meaning everything
It’s also full of little nods to the 80s, the kind of songs that can teleport you back to a specific night, a specific person, a specific version of you.
Writing it has been equal parts therapy, chaos, and joy. Sharing it feels both terrifying and exciting—like handing someone your diary and hoping they find themselves somewhere in the pages.
