If you read my last post, you’ll know my next novel has been through a few name changes. (Turns out titles are like trying to catch a train you swear is on platform two… until the board flips and you’re suddenly sprinting with a coffee in one hand and your dignity in the other.) Since then, I’ve had a lot of conversations, a lot of scribbled notes, and that familiar “click” moment where something finally fits. So here it is—officially: my next book is now called Tracks in Time.

It’s about the paths we don’t take, the people we almost become, and what happens when life gives you a chance to step back onto the tracks and choose differently… not with grand, dramatic rewinds, but with small, human decisions that ripple out in ways you never expect.

Why the title change?

The more I wrote, the more I realised the heart of this story isn’t about a single missed moment—it’s about movement. About the lines our lives run along. The stops we make. The times we hesitate. The moments we get stuck. And the rare, precious chances we get to switch tracks without pretending we can undo everything. Tracks in Time captures that. It feels like the book. It sounds like the book. It is the book.

What to expect from Tracks in Time

If you enjoyed the emotional thread, warmth, and “what if” energy of The Light Between Us, you’ll feel at home here—but this story has its own heartbeat. It’s grounded, hopeful, and very human, with a touch of the unexpected. It’s a love story (more than one, actually), but it’s also a story about learning to live forward—without guarantees, without neat answers, and without pretending we don’t carry the past with us.

What happens next?

Over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing more: little glimpses behind the scenes, character snippets, and updates as we head toward release. For now, I just wanted to mark this moment properly—because after all the drafts, the edits, and the title juggling, it feels brilliant to finally say:

Tracks in Time is coming.
And this is its cover.
